The truth about your kitchen utensils

what you cook with gets into your food

Your black plastic spatulas shed microplastics and BPA directly into hot food every time you use them. When the coating breaks down it releases toxic particles you can't see, smell, or taste.

Switching to 100% natural teak wood is the simplest thing you can do to protect your family starting today.

What goes into your set and why it matters

Most wooden utensils on the market are coated in lacquer or shellac — synthetic finishes that crack over time and leach directly into your hot food. You switched away from plastic for a reason. You deserve to know exactly what you're getting.

frequently asked questions

Is there any coating or finish on the wood?

No. Our utensils are 100% natural teak with no lacquer, shellac, dye or synthetic coating of any kind. What touches your food is pure wood, nothing else.

Will these scratch my non-stick or ceramic pans?

Not at all. Teak is firm but naturally smooth. It glides along any surface without leaving a mark — non-stick, ceramic, cast iron or stainless steel.

How do I clean them?

Hand wash with warm water and mild soap, then dry immediately. Don't soak them or put them in the dishwasher. Takes 30 seconds and they'll look brand new every time.

How long will they last?

With normal use and basic care, a very long time. That's exactly why we back every set with a lifetime warranty.

What if something breaks?

We replace it. Email us at support@woodsen.co and we'll take care of it — no forms, no fine print, no hassle.

Is teak wood actually safe to cook with?

Yes. Teak is one of the most trusted hardwoods for kitchen use — naturally dense, water-resistant, and completely food-safe. It's been used in kitchens for generations for exactly that reason.
